    log fire
    outdoor seating
    damp odor

Cozy log fire in the lounge creates a warm atmosphere during chilly evenings. Expansive garden with outdoor seating offers a lovely space to relax and unwind.

The shower in the bathroom could use some refreshing. it's scruffy. Small washbasin limits functionality, and the lingering smell of frying as you enter isn't the best first impression. I struggled to reach my bedroom curtains, which was frustrating. The damp odor inside was unappealing.

    tiny room
    unpleasant odor

what a quaint little place, but honestly, i was shocked by the tiny room lacking space for even my luggage, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor—absolutely not what one expects. i was also utterly disappointed that i didn’t receive my pre-requested complimentary gesture. i almost gave a great review but just couldn’t, how typical.

charming spot near stunning parks and picturesque landmarks

during my stay, I was thrilled to find the charming village is just a short bike ride from Rutland Water, where I enjoyed delightful views and peaceful strolls, and the nearby Edith Weston village offered quaint streets perfect for leisurely walks.

    cracking breakfast
    cozy lounge
    small ensuite

Braw stay! The breakfast was a pure treat, especially that cracking mushroom omelet. The place felt cozy with a log fire in the lounge. Takes a wee bit of getting used to the small ensuite, though. Would definitely come back!

    cozy lounge
    friendly host
    kitchen facilities
    limited information
    noise disturbance

The quaint property, once a 16th-century public house, features a lovely garden and outdoor seating. The room was exceptionally clean, and the log fire in the lounge added a cozy touch for chilly evenings. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the mushroom omelet. Conveniently located for exploring nearby attractions like Rutland Water, the host's friendliness and local advice enhanced the experience, although more detailed information about the kitchen facilities would have been appreciated.

    great breakfast
    small ensuite

The charming converted pub offered a warm atmosphere and a lovely outdoor dining area. Breakfast featured a great spread with fresh fruit and cooked options. The local pub has fantastic food to enjoy after a day exploring nearby sights.

The en-suite was a bit small, which can be challenging for some travelers.
